Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum is the senior wife
of Emir Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of
Dubai. They were married in 1979.

She is not a public figure and tends to keep a low profile
in the society because she follows the traditions and
cultures of the UAE (not interacting with men), particularly
in comparison to his junior wife, Princess Haya Bint Al
Hussein. She is generally regarded favourably by the public
at large.
Family Bakcground
Sheikha Hind is the grand-daughter of Juma bin Maktoum
Al Maktoum, brother of Emir Saeed II of Dubai, grand-father
of the current emir.
Her mother is the daughter of Emir Saeed II of Dubai,
made Sheikha Hind is the second cousin of his husband
through her father and first cousin through her mother.

She is the mother of fourteen of his sons and daughters.
She is the mother of the crown prince of Dubai Sheikh
Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the deputy
ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid
Al Maktoum.
Princess Haya
Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein of Jordan,
First Lady of Dubai, is the wife of His Highness Sheikh
Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime
Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.
Born 03 May 1974, daughter of the late King Hussein of
Jordan (1952-1999) and Queen Alia (1948-1977). Princess
Haya studied in Britain, where she attended Badminton
School for Girls in Bristol, Bryanston School in Dorset
and later St Hilda's College, Oxford University, from
which she graduated with a BA Honours degree in Philosophy,
Politics and Economics (PPE).
